No I guess you’re right, I just find it strange how many elements have a different name in English for no obvious reason (e.g. Potassium for Kalium (K) or Sodium for Natrium (Na)), especially when the chemical abbreviations usually reflect the Latin/German name anyways (Silicon is “Si” though, so it makes sense in both languages)
The melting point of silicon is ~2600F.
The melting point of titanium is ~3000F
Why are we still making wafers for computer chips? Can we not come up with an automated process to put a drop of liquid silicon into a mold made of titanium and have that mold lithographed?
Im sure you can make a few molds out of it. They made the entire SR-71 out of it. Honestly you can also use a few alloys of steel too but the melting point is a lot closer.
Y u no show Silicone implants?
Madonna?
Side-note… scrolling up and down with arrow keys hurts the eyes, that pink tray-thing appears to get bigger and smaller… maybe I’m just tired.
whoooaaa… awesome!
Santorum dripping from a whore’s cunt.
^this
Isn’t the first one Silizium?
Silicium is the german name (and probably also many other languages), while Silicon is english.
or it’s just another name, and I’m dumb -.-

Because titanium isn’t the most plentiful mineral in the world… unlike silicon? I suppose if you want an $18,000 i5…
