Do you know, I had a feeling I would find a comment along these lines somewhere in here.
Truthfully, I would rather not be the door. Doors live insipid, dreary, lonely lives and are constantly being kicked, shoved, disregarded, and even etcetera. I am sure that suffering through a state of doorness would be unpleasant and being licked by the 10th Doctor would not exactly offset any side effects of being a door, such as mindlessness, being fixed to a single thing, wearing words, becoming occasionally unhinged, and being essentially inanimate and single-purposed.

I am American and I love Doctor Who. I have no problem admitting that I am a huge Doctor Who nerd. I have posters up in my room, and I have replicas of his fob watch and sonic screwdriver. I also own three Doctor Who shirts and have another on the way.
You are underestimating how popular Doctor Who has gotten in America thanks to BBC America.
Anyways, I love the Doctor’s habit of licking things to find out more about it.
