Not really. if it was “Titanic uses Sideswipe!” it would be more accurate. If the Titanic rammed the iceberg dead-on, the ship would be crippled, but not likely to have sank.
The water-tight chamber design mean the about first quarter of the ship could take on water and survive. By trying to turn out of the way, the ship cracked the hull across the entire first half, if not the entire ship.
