  1. Kayne Archeron says:

The other difference? Airbender was already planned to be a trilogy, whereas Avatar’s only getting one due to the influence of “green” being stronger than blue. Gei Comixed is gei.

  2. Snausages says:

what’s the difference between pochahontas and avatar?

    CGI!

  3. schwimm says:

This sucks worse than The Village.

  4. Jowgen says:

    M. Night’s movie doesn’t DESERVE to call itself Avatar! Every crappy piece of fanfiction, even the worst SmurfAvatarXCartoonAvatar crossover ones, have more right to call themselves that. I’d rather spend the rest of my days reading Twilight than watching a second of that abomination of a “movie” M. Night made. The simple thought of it eats away at my soul….

    • fraoch says:

Actually, the movie is (poorly) based on a tv series called Avatar: the Last Airbender that ran successfully several years ago.
Try doing some research that wasn’t based off of a prepubescent girl’s ramblings.

      • Jowgen says:

That’s what I meant. The movie in and of itself is already bad but when it’s compared to the original series the fail goes off the charts, to a level that makes the fail that is Twilight pale in comparison. Every badly written Avatar: TLA fanfic is better than M. Night’s movie version. Both the Cartoon and the unrelated space-smurf-pocahontas movie are indefinitely better. Savvy?

  5. bertbad says:

His name is Aang, not Awng. So lame M. Night. It’s the little things M. Night.

  6. mogiks says:

    CUE AVATAR FLAMES.

okkk guys we get that avatar’s kind of similar to pocahontas and all that shit. get over it, everyone else already did.

on the other hand, avatar: the last airbender really does deserve to get flamed, there’s not a single person in the world who seems to have enjoyed that movie.

    • Shipoopi says:

i heard that the blue avatar flick was a lot like a less sexy pocahontas

    • rofl@fails says:

I have to say the last airbender movie was pretty bad, especially so for people who watched the series and were hoping the movie would be good. But avatar was still far worse in my opinion.

  7. Chase says:

I thought the difference was that one of them actually had a storyline.

  8. Artex says:

    Neither.

  9. Kathryn says:

Except the original Avatar show came WAY before The-pocohontas-smurf movie.

  10. californium says:

Can’t wait until the GOOD Avatar comes out.

  11. jp says:

What’s the difference between the two Avatar movies?

    M. Night Shyamalan’s was *supposed* to be derivative!

  12. Boat says:

For the record, I didn’t like Cameron’s Avatar either despite the amazing visuals. I did however like the Avatar: the Last Airbender cartoon because its story was more original than Cameron’s Avatar.

  13. The Neverending Twilight says:

Personally, I don’t care what anyone says about The Last Airbender, I still plan on watching it at one point, even if it does suck as everyone says. Hell, if I could sit through DragonBall Evolution *shudder* then this should be nothing. And Avatar looks to me to be just another over rated movie. Doesn’t even look interesting. I didn’t think it looked interesting when it first came out… and it doesn’t look interesting to me, now.

  14. Carlos says:

And i sincerely don’t know which one sucked the most!!!!!

  15. Fally says:

The ad for M. Night’s movie looked good and I watched the previews going “YEAH LET’S GO!!!” but as soon as it started I went, “Screw this, I’m gettin my money back…”

  16. joe says:

they could of said that it didn’t ruin a good cartoon

  17. trillian says:

    What a twist!

  18. Seethlaw says:

A difference ? The Last Airbender is WAYYYYY better than this Pocahontas copy.
