Hi, overreact much? What Underyx is saying, and I agree, is that the last panel ruins it because it’s extraneous and detracts from the humor of the strip. The fact that it contains an “offensive” gesture has nothing to do with it.

Well… int the comic it’s not Patrick Stewart, it’s Jean-Luc Picard (played by Patrick Stewart, still, but that’s not the point). In the episode “Tapestry” he is clearly shown to have had hair when he was still in Academy. So Picard had hair when he was still a twentysomething.

Random trivia! In an early version of the Star Trek: Nemesis script (I read it online), Beverly says the Romulans must have cloned Shinzon from one of Picard’s skin cells or hair follicles, to which the Captain replies, jokingly, that he thinks it was more likely a skin cell than a hair follicle. It woulda been a fun moment had it made into the movie, but apparently, the Powers That Be were too busy making the biggest failure in the history of the Star Trek franchise to allow time for such tomfoolery.
