Make a better comixed than these past 10 or so and I’ll agree with you.
I have submitted some before. However, I didn’t just google image Star Wars and throw in a joke I didn’t think was funny in middle school.
So to all: try not to fuck off and die. If you want this type of humor, check out the writing on the stall of a public restroom, don’t bring it here.
To me, the humor of these comixed is the familar facial expressions of the characters being used to say completely incongruous stuff.
I didn’t “just google image Star Wars”, by the way. I searched all of the Empire Strikes Back screencaps I could find, for the right expressions. If I hadn’t found them, I was going to cap them myself.
My problem with this comix isn’t that I think you didn’t put enough hard work into it, it’s that the joke isn’t funny. At all. If you went through all that trouble to find some “hilarious” facial expressions, I assume you could have devoted some time to finding a joke that was at least somewhat funny/clever.
Ones that are submitted have to get to the voting pages first. That’s one hurdle that many somehow make it past. Once they’re on the voting pages, if only the kiddies (age and/or mentality) vote, guess what happens? On the other hand, I’ve seen some that had more down votes and still made the front page. You also have to appeal to the site moderator(s).

You gotta admit, Leia’s deadpan look in the third panel is PERFECT. The fifth one doesn’t quite fit; you wouldn’t expect someone who’s just said that to smile shyly, but I’ve tried finding appropriate screenshots before, and it’s easier said than done.
