  13. BAReFOOt says:

FAIL! Only Americans can’t say “Bach” properly.
It’s “ch”. As in the Scottish “loch”. Not “ck” as you usually speak it!
Schwarzenegger, being Austrian, would say it properly.
    The fail is yours.

    • John says:

If you are going to complain about pronunciation, at least get it right. The problem lies not in the ‘ck’ but in the ‘a’, being long, or soft. You had it right in comparing it to ‘loch’, but ‘lock’ sounds the same. Either way, with Arnie’s accent, Bach would sound the same if he did say back… so get over it. It’s funny.

    • Anonyminous says:

So why is it that when I hear a Scot say, “loch,” it is always pronounced “lock?”

The joke is a play on words. If you are too stupid to get it, then YOU are the one who fails.

    • Eaver says:

But we pronounce loch as “lock”, so your point is lost.

    • Tartsonawire says:

OMG, pull whatever’s stuck up your butt out, please.

It was funny, plain and simple. Not hysterical, but funny, ya know?

  14. shOesOn says:

Actually even if he said “Bach” properly it would sound similar enough to “back” to be a genius pun. Good point though, Americans always butcher Bach.

  15. hanky says:

  19. mefao says:

Pictures #4 and #5 were not necessary.

  20. yo says:

it is funny, but not too funny as a german, because of the pronouncation. schwarzenegger would say it the right way, which means the a is said like the a in after. the ch is something americans can’t say, but it doesn’t sound like ck. well yea, it is funny for americans, but kinda wrong

  21. alex says:

Lol, my music in grade school said that joke a lot.

  22. Again says:

    This is weak and retarded.

    FAIL.

      • Again says:

        Yo Thesterility…

You are cordially invited to die in Hell with a cactus up your butt.

And for the record there actually *are* comix that I like.. This crap just ain’t one of them.

PS – if you want to see epic, greasy failness… Wipe the j*zz off your mirror and take a good, hard look at YOURSELF, chum.

  29. Cat says:

The last shot made this one for me! I love how they’re giggling like little kids.

  30. caradhraz says:

God damn that is NOT funny. How do Americans manage to pronounce every language like their own? I’ve often been to America and nobody I met there ever pronounced words like Bach or Laibach right…

    • Midna312 says:

What do you mean? Bach is pronounced like Bock, correct?

    • Indonesian says:

you said that is not funny because you’re smart and educated, you are feeling so cool that you know that pronouncing “Bach” is different to “Back”

if “bach” and “back” has the same pronounciation, thats not funny. Just imagine Arnold saying “I’ll be (correctly-pronounced-bach)” that should sound funny, rather than “I’ll be back” which is just the original.

    • CuddleBear says:

Yeah, sure, I guess when you have to say a thai or a swahili name you pronounce it the thai/swahili way?

  31. AJ says:

    Get the joke.

  32. Martin says:

the last picture is the epicest.

  33. Zanden says:

Best one ever i must say!

  34. iamjoei says:

    hahahahahaha that is so funny!

  35. Bex says:

Right, ok so maybe it is pronounced differently… but some puns aren’t exactly perfect… if it’s close enough then it’s generally seen to be funny… as in this case!! I know how Bach is correctly pronounced… but I still found it funny! It’s a PUN it’s supposed to be bad!
