I think the joke is that when you wikipedia “I am Legend” the movie [which I've done in the past which is why I get this joke] it shows you that and the definitions of legend instead of the movie. And that’s the joke. Just…wikipedia it.

Well, I laughed.
Although visual puns and referential humour mixed into one might not be everyones taste.

Not really. More “high brow” than nerd. Nerd humour generally refers to technical or fringe phenomena, while any well educated person would get this one.
To explain the joke. “Legend” has a variety of meanings, and this comix references a whole bunch of different ones.
It references “I am legend” is the title of a movie where Will smith plays the lead character.
It references “Legend” as its use in bragging.
Finally it also references Legend in it’s meaning “An explanatory table or list of the symbols appearing on a map or chart”.
Well, I would like to mention to you good sir, that this comix is completely laaaaaaaaaaame and if you laughed as hell than you are neeeeeeeeerd. Sorry for being so uneducated.

Because this appeals to fans of say – the comedy stylings of Steve Hofsetter. But the majority of visitors to this site prefer the comedy stylings of Larry The Cable Guy.
Actually, this is more the comedy typical of Albert Brooks. People who like to think they’re smarter than everyone else will laugh because the punchline was delivered, not necessarily because it was funny, and will chide anyone who sees that it’s obvious dreck.
