My question is – Dexter only kills people who have done very bad things. So who did Dee Dee kill?

Since I’m obviously the only one who doesn’t get this, where is Dexter from?? I know the cartoon, but I got nothing on Dexter.
It’s one of those pay-channel shows, HBO, I think, about a serial killer who only kills, well, other serial killers or other people he considers dangerous baddies. And then, by day, he’s a police officer. There’s a big dubious-morality theme through the whole thing, but it’s not 100% philosophical; it also gets pretty gruesome at times, the bad guys can be terrifying, and his wife and sister are adorable. Good fun, but not over dinner, if you know what I mean.
The plastic-wrapped room is part of Dexter’s modus operandi. Then again, I’ve only seen a few episodes, myself, as I don’t get those channels, so maybe someone else can fill you in.
Dexter Morgan, from the books by Jeff Lindsay which were turned into the Showtime series Dexter. He’s a serial killer who only kills other serial killers. He especially likes to kill serial killers whom kill kids because he likes kids. He just can’t understand why anyone would target a child.
