  2. BAReFOOt says:

Damn, that whole picture is TENSO! Should be a WTF picture.

  3. Deathtotwilight says:

    I don’t get it.

    • Crimm says:

Well deathtotwilight, basically, you’ve got all this nice stuff happening, everybody’s smiling and then BAM! You’ve got this crazy-looking guy in the back.

I’ve conjured up a link for you to look at, at your leisure, explaining the TENSO meme. http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/tenso

    • TheOneWhoWasFirst says:

it’s a picture , first you don’t see anything bizzare , then there is a zoom on a WTF thing
      It’s a tenso ;)

    • Jami says:

Tenso is when you slowly focus on something in the background you didn’t expect. Like a man making a face like he’s terribly afraid, or a serial killer about to strike. In this case, it’s the man screaming and clutching his head while the naked couple goes into foreplay.

  4. artnerd says:

Baroque art is weird like that.

    • Alice says:

This artwork is actually from the mannerist period of art, where the artist purposefully messes with the viewers head. It came about as a rejection of the Renaissance era, where all the art was about harmony and beauty. Btw, the two main figures are Venus and Cupid. Venus was Cupid’s mother in ancient Roman mythology.

  5. Mr. J says:

The word “tenso” is Portuguese for “tense”. This is a meme that spread through Brazilian blogs and forums, and consists of an image edited to form a sequence that closes up the frame and emphasizes a “tense” face or situation. In form, it is similar to a common vertical 4-Pane, a common exploitable format; although the number of actual frames may vary.

Sometimes the close up reveals something that is not seen in the original image, creating an effect of surprise. In this way, it delivers an effect similar to the when you see it, you’ll shit bricks meme

  6. andrea says:

God these are never ever amusing.

  7. MAES says:

You know what’s even worse about this pic? The woman and the young man are actually Venus and Cupid and…if you know your Roman myths you would realize that they are mother and son. Maybe that’s why the guy back there is all tenso’d out.

  8. Anon says:

    this still isn’t funny

  9. Mich says:

God, i Hate the whole Tenso meme… Id doesn’t make any sense to me, much less I’m amused by them; it’s kinda like photobomb… only much worse.

  10. An says:

    STOP POSTING THIS SHIT

  11. Jojo says:

    worst hangover lol

  12. soph says:

Its so damn funny!! I LOVE THIS! lol
is the crazy guy shopped in?

  13. marriedmiko says:

Lolz, yeah, it’s actually an old woman, and she’s freaking out because the lovebirds are mom and son. there’s a lot of meaning behind this pic… for instance, the girl in the back with the scaly body is “fraud” and her left and right hands are switched. Go here for more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus,_Cupid,_Folly_and_Time

… and this is the most use I’ve put my MFA to so far. *headdesk*

    • Jami says:

Well, the Greek gods and goddesses were a messed up bunch. Hera was Zeus’ sister and his wife, for instance. Most of the gods and goddesses were related by blood.

  14. eva says:

its not photoshopped its a picture called An Allegory of Time and Love or Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus,_Cupid,_Folly_and_Time

    and its messed up.

  15. WhoNose says:

What’s most astonishing to me is the fact that they haven’t blurred the nipples yet. And the pee wee. In fact, they should have blurred the whole picture for depiction of abominable things, youknowwhat, cantwritethatontheinternet.

Then again, western civilization is based on myths like that and pictures like that. You could say, it is based on not blurring nipples. Think about that. And draw your conclusions.

    • Jami says:

It’s a classical painting. Therefore the nipples don’t need to be blurred. Only on living human women are they blurred. And in Japanese animation.

  16. random nerd says:

    I hate tenso.

  17. Doos says:

so… if you hate this… why did you take your time looking&annoying ?

  18. Freddy Fartface says:

First Photobomb in History =D love the rageguy

  19. Vega says:

Ah Ancient Greece. Responsible for so much nude art.

  20. Gianna says:

Wow, I’m writing a report on this guy and a meme pops up? Seems like everything nowadays is a meme….
