Not really. Out of the 100,000,000 people that watch NASCAR at least once during the year, only 10%, if that, amount of the people watch for the crashes. People watch to A) Root for their driver, and B) See the competitive sport and all the strategy that goes into it.
Why would anyone watch something so they can see people crash and get seriously hurt or even die? Are we just that bloodthirsty as a people? Perhaps we should return to the days of public beheadings and hangings then. Sell tickets so people can go to Iraq and watch our soldiers get blown apart by enemy fire.
Yeah, probably should’ve used a different first pic. The second one isn’t Dale’s crash, and any other pic of a NASCAR race for the first would’ve probably worked. Unless the point was to depict Dale’s wreck, than that is just horrible.
Seconded.
Too obvious but still funny.

Yeeeeaaaah! Let’s go!
we’ll start with you, Gilmore Girl.
This is sort of disrespectful to Dale Earnhardt, the driver of the #3 car, who died in a Nascar crash.
RIP Dale.

It really bothers me that the second frame is blurry. Couldn’t find a proper copy of the picture?
It’s funny because it’s true.
